Global communications platform Truecaller has announced the expansion of its Business Chat platform to help businesses around the world connect with its over 500 million global users. The company disclosed this in a statement seen by Technext.

According to the statement, the expansion of its Business Chat platform makes it accessible to global channel partners and enterprise solution providers. By “opening up” market access to its platform, Truecaller is empowering partners to transition their enterprise clients from legacy, low-trust SMS to a verified, smart, media-rich, and conversational communication experience.

Through this partner-led expansion, the company says it empowers businesses to reclaim customer attention and establish immediate trust and credibility.

Speaking about the development, Global Head, GTM at Truecaller, Priyam Bose, said success is no longer about delivery but about earning attention and driving meaningful conversations. And these are what the platform is offering with the Business Chat expansion.

The definition of success for modern enterprises has fundamentally evolved. It’s no longer just about delivery – it’s about earning attention, establishing credibility, and driving meaningful conversion. By opening up market access to our global partners, we’ve created a powerful gateway for brands to engage with over 500 million active users where they already interact daily through communication that is contextual, trusted, free from clutter, and designed to initiate actions,” Priyam Bose said.

He also noted that for existing customers, the outreach opportunity extends to an additional high-impact channel, strengthening the overall customer experience journey.

Truecaller Business Chat is built on a 500 million-user base

This development comes just days after Truecaller announced that it has surpassed the 500 million user milestone worldwide. The company further noted that it added over 50 million users in 2025 and surpassed 150 million users outside India. This comes as demand for protection against spam, scam and unwanted communication continues to grow globally.

Speaking about the milestone, CEO of Truecaller, Rishit Jhunjhunwala, described it as an important milestone, which also says something bigger about the world we live in.

“More and more people need help navigating spam, scams, and unwanted communication every day. Reaching 500 million users shows the scale of that need, and the trust people place in Truecaller to help make communication safer. Our commitment remains focused on continuously strengthening Truecaller with smarter technology and new capabilities that protect users before, during, and after every call or message. Ultimately, our aim is to build a safer, more trusted communication ecosystem for everyone. We now have our sights set on the next milestone: 1 billion users.”

With half a billion people using the platform every month, the platform has evolved beyond just Caller ID. It has become an essential part of how communication works safely in the digital age; a daily-use trust layer that helps people verify identities, avoid fraud, and make informed decisions about who they interact with.

Crossing the 500 million mark underscores how trust has become one of the most essential layers in digital communication today, and the Business Chat platform embodies that. The platform enables a clutter-free, high-trust conversational experience between businesses and consumers.

It also equips partners with actionable insights, including real-time data and rich engagement metrics. This facilitates a more sophisticated, data-driven communication strategy that adapts at every stage of the customer journey.
