The Dubai Media Office said on Monday, March 16, that authorities were dealing with a fire resulting from a drone attack in the vicinity of the Dubai International Airport, adding that no injuries were reported.

This comes as Iran’s media operations center warned residents in specific areas in Dubai, Doha of possible attacks in coming hours, reported Iran’s Press TV.

Dubai authorities said the drone attack hit a fuel tank and the civil defense teams were working to bring the fire under control.

Saudi Arabia also intercepted 34 drones in its eastern region in one hour, its state TV reported.

Gulf Arab states have faced more than 2,000 missile and drone attacks since ​the outbreak of the US-Israeli war on Iran on February 28, with targets including US diplomatic missions and military bases but also critical Gulf oil infrastructure, ports, airports, hotels ​and residential and office buildings.
