Ethereum Foundation 500 Coins Away from ETH Staking Target
The Ethereum Foundation (EF), the non-profit organization managing the development of the Ethereum ecosystem, staked more than 45,000 Ether (ETH detailed analysis) on Friday, raising the total staked amount to approximately 69.500 ETH. According to Arkham Intelligence (ARKM news) data, this was carried out through a series of transactions each consisting of 2.047 ETH, and the value of Friday’s staking exceeded 92,2 million dollars.

Ethereum Foundation’s Renewed ETH Staking Strategy
EF began staking ETH starting from February under its renewed treasury strategy announced in June 2025; 2.016 ETH (4,1 million dollars) in February, 22.517 ETH (46,1 million dollars) in March were staked. The total locked ETH value exceeded 143 million dollars. The yields obtained will be used for protocol research, development, and ecosystem grants.
- Total Staked: ~69.500 ETH (143M USD)
- Target: 500 coins left to 70.000 ETH
- Strategy Objective: Reduce ETH sales, approach adopted under community pressure
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin stated in January 2025 that EF’s stake could force it to take positions in controversial hard forks and that they are exploring ways to reduce centralization risks.
