A Surprising Situation Occurring on the Ethereum (ETH) Network! Hundreds of Wallets Allegedly Affected!

A surprising event occurred on the Ethereum (ETH) network. According to data, an unusual transaction was detected where wallets that had been inactive for a long time were simultaneously hacked on the ETH network.

According to Coin Bureau and the community, it has been discovered that assets in hundreds of Ethereum wallets, including some that haven’t been used on the Ethereum mainnet for over seven years, have been moved to the same address.

At this point, the suspected cyberattack emptied the funds from hundreds of ETH wallets that hadn’t been used for years.

It was revealed that most of the wallets targeted in the attack had not been used for years, and the last activity at some addresses dated back 14 years.

According to the detected transaction pattern, a single attacker is simultaneously compromising multiple wallets. At this point, the market is paying attention to the possibility that this incident is a new type of wallet vulnerability attack and is concerned about its potential for further damage.

Finally, experts note that funds were transferred from wallets without any apparent reason. While the exact cause has not yet been confirmed, speculation within the cryptocurrency community points to past leaks of mnemonic phrases or private keys, or issues with old token confirmations.
