Protocol v23 Goes Live on Pi Network Testnet

Pi Network has reached another important technical milestone with the activation of Protocol v23 on its Testnet blockchain. According to information shared by @amr_nannaware, the new protocol upgrade is now live and fully operational, signaling a crucial step forward in Pi Network’s journey toward Mainnet deployment.

This development places Protocol v23 at the center of attention within the Pi community. As one of the final major upgrades before broader network rollout, v23 represents not just a technical update, but a collective testing phase where community participation can directly influence the speed and stability of Mainnet readiness.

What Protocol v23 Means for Pi Network

Protocol upgrades are fundamental to blockchain evolution. They introduce improvements in performance, security, and functionality that define how a network operates. Protocol v23 is designed to refine the underlying mechanics of Pi Network’s blockchain, ensuring that it can support increased activity, real-world usage, and ecosystem growth.

The activation of v23 on Testnet allows developers and Pioneers to interact with the upgraded protocol in a controlled environment. This stage is essential for identifying bugs, measuring performance, and validating system behavior before the upgrade progresses to the next phase.

In blockchain development, Testnet success is often a strong indicator of Mainnet readiness.

Why Testnet Activation Is a Critical Step

Testnet serves as a sandbox where upgrades can be deployed without risking real assets or disrupting live operations. By launching Protocol v23 on Testnet, Pi Network ensures that potential issues are identified early, minimizing risks during Mainnet deployment.

This approach reflects Pi Network’s cautious and methodical development philosophy. Rather than rushing upgrades into production, the network prioritizes stability, security, and long-term reliability. Testnet activation marks the point where theory meets practice.

Protocol v23 now moves from design to real-world simulation.

How the Community Can Accelerate the Process

According to @amr_nannaware, the speed at which Protocol v23 progresses toward Testnet2 and Mainnet depends heavily on community involvement. Pi Network has outlined several ways Pioneers can contribute to accelerating the rollout.

First, thorough testing on Testnet is essential. By actively using applications, conducting transactions, and exploring edge cases, users help uncover issues that automated testing might miss.

Second, providing clear and structured feedback allows developers to identify patterns and prioritize fixes. Feedback quality is just as important as quantity.

Third, helping validate performance ensures that the protocol can handle increased load and real-world conditions. These collective efforts reduce uncertainty and build confidence in the upgrade.

From Testnet to Testnet2 and Mainnet

The path from Testnet to Mainnet typically involves multiple validation stages. After initial Testnet deployment, upgrades often move to an advanced testing environment, commonly referred to as Testnet2. This phase simulates conditions closer to Mainnet, including higher transaction volumes and more complex interactions.

Protocol v23 must demonstrate stability, efficiency, and compatibility before advancing. Each stage serves as a filter, ensuring that only thoroughly tested upgrades reach Mainnet.

Community participation during the Testnet phase can significantly shorten this timeline by accelerating issue discovery and resolution.

Technical Improvements Expected in Protocol v23

While detailed technical specifications may evolve, protocol upgrades generally focus on key areas such as transaction processing, network efficiency, and system resilience. Protocol v23 is expected to enhance how Pi Network handles scalability and performance under load.

These improvements are particularly important as Pi Network prepares for broader ecosystem activity, including decentralized applications, marketplace interactions, and increased transaction frequency.

A robust protocol foundation is necessary to support Pi Network’s vision of real-world utility.

Why This Upgrade Matters for the Pi Ecosystem

For many Pioneers, technical updates can feel abstract. However, Protocol v23 has direct implications for everyday usage. A more efficient and stable protocol improves transaction reliability, reduces friction for developers, and enhances overall user experience.

From an ecosystem perspective, protocol readiness influences developer confidence. Builders are more likely to invest time and resources into applications when the underlying infrastructure is stable and predictable.

Protocol v23 therefore acts as an enabler for ecosystem expansion.

Community-Driven Development in Web3

One of Pi Network’s defining characteristics is its emphasis on community-driven development. Unlike traditional software projects, blockchain networks rely on distributed participation to test, validate, and refine upgrades.

The call for Pioneers to actively test v23 reflects this Web3 principle. Users are not passive consumers, but contributors whose actions shape the network’s evolution.

This collaborative model strengthens decentralization while improving technical outcomes.

Balancing Speed and Stability

In the crypto industry, pressure to move fast often leads to premature launches and costly failures. Pi Network’s incremental approach demonstrates a different priority: balancing speed with stability.

While the community is eager for Mainnet progress, each protocol upgrade must meet high standards. Protocol v23’s Testnet phase is not a delay, but a safeguard.

By investing time in thorough testing now, Pi Network reduces the risk of disruptions later.

Challenges and Expectations

Despite optimism, challenges remain. Complex systems inevitably encounter unforeseen issues during testing. The effectiveness of Protocol v23’s rollout will depend on how quickly and accurately these issues are addressed.

Managing community expectations is also important. Progress is incremental, and Testnet activation does not imply immediate Mainnet deployment. Clear communication helps align understanding and maintain trust.

Protocol v23 is a milestone, not a finish line.

What Success Looks Like for Protocol v23

Success for Protocol v23 will be measured by stability, performance, and readiness for advancement. Minimal critical bugs, positive performance metrics, and constructive community feedback will signal readiness for the next phase.

If these conditions are met, v23 can move more quickly to Testnet2 and ultimately Mainnet. Each successful upgrade builds momentum toward Pi Network’s broader goals.

The role of Pioneers during this phase is therefore significant.

Conclusion

The activation of Protocol v23 on Pi Network’s Testnet marks a meaningful step forward in the network’s technical evolution. As shared by @amr_nannaware, this upgrade is live, operational, and ready for community testing.

More than a routine update, Protocol v23 represents a collaborative effort between developers and Pioneers to prepare Pi Network for its next stage. Thorough testing, clear feedback, and performance validation will determine how quickly the protocol advances toward Mainnet.

In the context of Web3 development, this moment highlights the power of community participation. Protocol v23 is not just being tested by engineers, but by a global network of users working together to shape the future of Pi Network.

Fed rate decision September 2025

Fed rate decision September 2025

The post Fed rate decision September 2025 appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. WASHINGTON – The Federal Reserve on Wednesday approved a widely anticipated rate cut and signaled that two more are on the way before the end of the year as concerns intensified over the U.S. labor market. In an 11-to-1 vote signaling less dissent than Wall Street had anticipated, the Federal Open Market Committee lowered its benchmark overnight lending rate by a quarter percentage point. The decision puts the overnight funds rate in a range between 4.00%-4.25%. Newly-installed Governor Stephen Miran was the only policymaker voting against the quarter-point move, instead advocating for a half-point cut. Governors Michelle Bowman and Christopher Waller, looked at for possible additional dissents, both voted for the 25-basis point reduction. All were appointed by President Donald Trump, who has badgered the Fed all summer to cut not merely in its traditional quarter-point moves but to lower the fed funds rate quickly and aggressively. In the post-meeting statement, the committee again characterized economic activity as having “moderated” but added language saying that “job gains have slowed” and noted that inflation “has moved up and remains somewhat elevated.” Lower job growth and higher inflation are in conflict with the Fed’s twin goals of stable prices and full employment.  “Uncertainty about the economic outlook remains elevated” the Fed statement said. “The Committee is attentive to the risks to both sides of its dual mandate and judges that downside risks to employment have risen.” Markets showed mixed reaction to the developments, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up more than 300 points but the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite posting losses. Treasury yields were modestly lower. At his post-meeting news conference, Fed Chair Jerome Powell echoed the concerns about the labor market. “The marked slowing in both the supply of and demand for workers is unusual in this less dynamic…
