PANews reported on November 18th that Amplify ETFs, which manages over $16 billion in assets, has launched the Amplify XRP 3% Monthly Premium Yield ETF (XRPM), which the company calls its first XRP-based options yield ETF. This fund is the latest addition to Amplify's YieldSmart product line, which is based on covered call options and aims to combine income generation with some growth exposure.
XRPM aims for an annualized option premium of 36% and strives for a 3% monthly return, while still capturing some of Ripple's weekly gains. It attempts to achieve this by selling weekly out-of-the-money call options on 30% to 60% of its XRP token exposure, while keeping the remaining 40% to 70% unhedged, thus capturing "unlimited" upside potential. Notably, the fund does not directly invest in XRP tokens. This actively managed fund has a management fee of 0.75% and distributes profits monthly.
