President Donald Trump delivered a 19-minute prime time address on the Iran war Wednesday, claiming military objectives would be accomplished "shortly, very shortly" and predicting gas prices would "rapidly come back down" within two to three weeks.
But Trump administration officials sharply criticized the speech.

One official compared it to listening to President Joe Biden speak, describing that description as being "perhaps the worst possible thing you could say" in Trump's circle.
Zeteo reporters characterized the address as "sleepy, bumbling and bloodthirsty."
Senior administration officials expressed skepticism about declaring victory in Iran, with one stating the war situation is "worse" than publicly portrayed. Another noted, "nobody will buy our attempt to sell this as a big win."
The U.S. and Israeli operation grew increasingly unpopular in the past five weeks. Analysts noted Trump's typical tactics of bluster and bullying are failing, and he appears notably "old and drained" attempting to project confidence to millions of viewers.
