What Time Are Nominations On Streaming And TV? How To Watch

The nominations for the 98th Annual Oscars will be announced on Thursday morning on several different streaming platforms, as well as broadcast television.

The Color Purple (2024) Best Supporting Actress nominee Danielle Brooks (The Minecraft Movie, Peacemaker) and Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick, Thunderbolts*) will announce the nominations for all 24 categories live from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Science’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Los Angeles.

This year marks the debut of a new category, for Best Casting. Another new category, Best Stunt Design, will join the list of nominations for the 100th Annual Academy Awards in 2028 for films released in 2027.

The nominations for the 98th Oscars will be announced in two sections on Thursday, with the first round coming at 8:30 ET/5:30 a.m. PT. The second set of nominations will be announced at 8:41 a.m. PT/5:41 a.m. PT.

The nominations will be available to stream at several different online locations on Thursday morning, including Oscar.com, Oscars.org and the Oscars’ YouTube channel, which is embedded below. In addition, the livestream of the Oscar nominations will be available to watch on the Academy’s TikTok, Instagram and Facebook accounts.

Additionally, the 2026 Oscar nominations will air live on ABC’s Good Morning America and will stream on ABC News Live, Disney+ and Hulu.

The front-runners in the Best Picture category this year include the films Hamnet, Frankenstein, Marty Supreme, One Battle After Another, Sinners, Sentimental Value, Train Dreams and Wicked: For Good. KPop Demon Hunters and Zootopia 2 are among the frontrunners in the Animated Feature Film category.

Five nominees will make the cut for each category, with the exception of Best Picture, which has 10 nominees.

According to AMPAS, nominations for the following categories will be announced at 8:30 a.m. PT/5:30 a.m. ET. The Academy noted that this is not the order of presentation and the list is subject to change.
